Tänzerin
Viva Foster wuchs in Dunedin, Neuseeland, auf und war Junior Associate an der New Zealand School of Dance, bevor sie ihre Ausbildung an der National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne absolvierte. Während ihrer Zeit dort war sie Mitglied der ersten Jugendtanzgruppe des Landes, Yellow Wheel, unter der Leitung von Adam Wheeler (Tasdance). Ausserdem trat sie in «It Sounds Silly» (Chunky Move) auf und absolvierte Praktika beim Australian Dance Theatre (Gary Stewart) und der Choreografin Stephanie Lake (Aorta, Chunky Move).
Im Jahr 2017 schloss sie ihren Master in Tanzperformance am Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance ab. Als Mitglied der Transitions Dance Company tourte sie durch Grossbritannien und Europa mit Werken von Charles Linehan (England), Oded Ronen (Israel) und Cristian Duarte (Brasilien). Seitdem hat sie mit der ROTES Velo Kompanie an der Kreation und den Tourneen von Revolution DADA und Terra Incognita mitgewirkt und mit dem Wired Aerial Theatre (Grossbritannien) sowohl als Lufttänzerin als auch als Stuntkünstlerin gearbeitet. In den letzten drei Spielzeiten war sie auf der Seebühne der Bregenzer Festspiele als Stuntdouble und Tänzerin in Carmen und Rigoletto zu sehen.
Viva Foster grew up in Dunedin, New Zealand and was a Junior Associate at the New Zealand School of Dance before completing her vocational training at the National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne. During her time there, she was a member of the state’s first youth dance company Yellow Wheel under the direction of Adam Wheeler (Tasdance). She also performed in «It Sounds Silly» (Chunky Move), and undertook placements with Australian Dance Theatre (Gary Stewart) and choreographer Stephanie Lake (Aorta, Chunky Move).
In 2017 she completed her Masters in Dance Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. As a member of Transitions Dance Company, she toured throughout the U.K. and Europe with works by Charles Linehan (England), Oded Ronen (Israel) and Cristian Duarte (Brazil). Since then, she has worked with ROTES Velo Kompanie for the creation and tours of RevolutionDADA and Terra Incognita, and with Wired Aerial Theatre (U.K.) as both an aerial dancer and stunt performer. For the past three seasons she has performed on the Lake Stage of the Bregenzer Festspiele as an aerial stunt double and dancer in Carmen and Rigoletto.
